I did not know that my chair was lacking socks – but learned this while browsing at DAISO, which is a Japanese store that is much like our “dollar stores” in the United States.  Almost everything is 7 dirhams ($1.89) and there are plenty of things that I never knew that I needed but also lots of items that I paid a lot more for elsewhere …. it’s a fun diversion if you are in the Dubai Mall, where most stores are high dollar.  You can find Daiso on the LOWER GROUND level.
